Honours and Awards

Placed in the London Gazette by the Central Chancery of the Orders of Knighthood, these notices announce the conferment or the intention to confer honours and awards by Her Majesty the Queen.

Honours include the Victoria and George Crosses, Knighthoods, the Order of the British Empire and the Royal Victorian Order.

Most Honours are published within stand alone supplements the best known of which are the London Gazette and Belfast Gazette Queen's Birthday and New Year Honours Lists.

Other supplements include awards for gallantry and service.
